J1.11 handcrafted cold processed soap is a very special product. It has a beautifully vibrant handcrafted look, it feels great, and it smells wonderful. It is a world apart from its poor cousin the machine made counterpart. Our handcrafted soap is made from the pristine land of New Zealand famously known for its clean and green environment.
The virtues of our high quality handcrafted soap upon the skin are legendary. To produce our world class soap we begin with the philosophy that the finest soap can only be made in small batches. Stirring 45 kilograms by hand with a slotted wooden spoon, our soap makers blend science and art as they watch and respond to the nuances of the kettle.
The term cold process means that no extra heating is used during the soap making process except the melting of the solid oil. It is a very precise procedure and all of the ingredients must be weighed correctly.
We initiate each batch with the freshest of raw materials; an amazing blend of olive oil for gentleness, coconut oil for a dense lather and palm oil for sustenance, essential oil and natural ingredients to create a sense of well-being by blending it all together , to produce a vibrant range of delightful soaps inspired by nature. We know that to truly cherish your skin, botanical oils are essential. The end result is nourishing, gentle skincare soap.
Scenting our handcrafted soap is an important consideration. We work with high quality raw material and essential oil to create beautiful signature scents. Our palette of fine ingredients also includes a range of clays and minerals. Each ingredient makes a unique contribution to the finished product.
Skin softening glycerine is naturally produced in our soap making process. It is not unusual for manufacturers to remove the glycerine and sell it as an ingredient for use in creams and lotions. But in Friqueglobal handcrafted soap, the glycerine is left where it belongs, in the soap, creating a creamy product that loves your skin. Our handcrafted soap is soap in its true, pure form; therefore, it gently cleanses away excess oils and bacteria, but does not strip your skin of its natural oils. It nourishes your skin as it cleanses and moisturized, leaving your skin feeling soft and refreshed.

Good things take time…a process called curing that stretches over a 4-6 week period. The cut bars are air dried in wooden racks where they are regularly hand turned. During this time the soap becomes progressively milder and they become harder and longer lasting. By being patient, we pride ourselves on a superior product.

Our handcrafted soap is a special product. Because it contains glycerin, it can retain more moisture than other soaps. To extend the life of your handcrafted soap, place it in a well- draining soap dish. Keep unused bars in a cool, dry place out of direct contact with water. Our soaps will last approximately 3 weeks to month for single use.
If you want to store your soap before you use it, store it in a dark dry area like a linen closet or drawer.
